Computed Tomography (CT) Angiography

A computed tomography angiography is a test used to create 3D pictures of the blood vessels that carry blood to the heart, lung, brain, or other organs. During this test, you’ll lie on a table inside a scanner, and dye will be injected into a vein in your arm or hand. Depending on the area being studied, you may have patches placed on your chest to record your heart’s electrical rhythm while you’re being scanned. The test is usually painless and takes just a few minutes.
