Venosclerosis is a fibrotic degeneration of the venous wall that is regularly found in non-varicose veins of aged persons. There are 2 procedures that are available.
- Vein Ablation – In this nonsurgical procedure, your doctor will insert a small tube catheter through a tiny opening to close the problematic vein using heat, a medical glue, or a medical foam. The procedure is fast, virtually painless, and allows you to immediately return to normal activity.
- Sclerotherapy – Your doctor will use a small needle to inject a medical foam to close off problem areas of the vein. This treatment is also fast, virtually painless, and does not limit your activity.
